Time to Make the Summer Coffee Pale Ale

Many people love coffee. Many people also love beer, which is why it made perfect sense when Dunkin'® and Harpoon Brewery got together in 2017 to release the Harpoon Dunkin'® Coffee Porter. 

The brew was a huge hit with consumers, particularly the among the 64 percent of adults who enjoy coffee already, and it has inspired the two beverage luminaries to join forces once more to welcome summer with a new collaborative brew. Hence, we welcome to shelves, taps, and beer menus a new LTO for the season: Harpoon Dunkin'® Summer Coffee Pale Ale.

Cool Brew for Warm Weather

Iced coffee is a summer mainstay in America, and Harpoon Dunkin'® Summer Coffee Pale Ale fits the season nicely with a gentle 5% ABV and the hoppy flavor of a bright, summer-inflected pale ale. And if the success of last October’s Harpoon Dunkin'® Coffee Porter is an indication, consumers will be pairing Summer Coffee Pale Ale with just about anything under the summer sun.

Dunkin'® Chief Marketing Officer for the U.S., Tony Weisman, broke down the factors of making Summer Coffee Pale Ale so appealing to consumers. In a recent statement, he explained that "the classic tastes of Dunkin'® coffee and Harpoon craft beer make for such an irresistible combination,” adding that “it was inevitable we'd collaborate again. We saw so much excitement and passion for our partnership last fall, and we're thrilled to delight our fans who start their day with Dunkin'® coffee and end it by enjoying one of Harpoon's famous craft beers once more with the introduction of new Summer Coffee Pale Ale."

When Harpoon Dunkin’ Coffee Porter was unveiled last year, millions of pints were poured for thirsty consumers and sold through retailers. As with any LTO, demand was high.
