Johnnie Walker Releases Black Label with Reimagined Jane Walker Icon

For years, the Johnnie Walker brand found the iconic Striding Man at its helm. He serves as a physical embodiment of moving forward and the slogan “Keep Walking.”

To celebrate the idea of progress and powerful women leading the way, Johnnie Walker has reimagined its icon as the Striding Woman — Jane Walker. It’s Johnnie Walker’s way to “represent the fearless women taking steps on behalf of all,” which lends itself in time for March’s Women’s History Month.

Jane Walker strives to be a symbol for advancement in gender equality and is featured on a bottle of Johnnie Walker Black Label. For every bottle sold, Johnnie Walker will donate $1 to support organizations devoted to women’s progress (up to an amount of $250,000).

These organizations include #MonumentalWomen, a mission focusing on erecting a New York City monument that pays tribute to the Women’s Suffrage Movement and its leaders; as well as She Should Run, a non-partisan group dedicated to encouraging women to run for various political leadership roles.

To recognize the launch of Jane Walker and to honor women making strong strides, we asked our resident Beverage Development Manager Natalia Cardenas to create a cocktail with her girl Jane.

Glass: Coupe
Method: Combine all ingredients in a shaker tin, add ice and shake hard for 6 seconds. Strain into glass.
