Who knew Scotch made for such a dram good email?


This week, Breakthru Beverage Group was nominated for “Most Original Email Campaign” for the Digiday Content Marketing Awards, a yearly program honoring the best in content marketing. Our team was thrilled to learn that last December’s immersive Scotch program – Dram Good Scotch – earned one of the final two spots for top email program of 2017.


“Dram Good Scotch” was a December 2016 Breakthru content marketing campaign designed to help our customers take advantage of a yearly tradition in the spirits industry–strong December Scotch sales. The gifting season is good to Scotch, and Breakthru anticipated an even bigger December as this spirit category enjoyed rising sales in 2016 (nearly 10% growth in sales*). We’re happy to report that several of the brands included in the program reported a bump in sales as a result of the communication.


This nomination confirms that our team’s detailed approach to educating customers about Scotch whisky helped drive sales for not only the customer, but for the Scotch whisky category as a whole.

The Digiday Awards are next month in New York City.
