WIRTZ BEVERAGE GROUP DONATES $30,000 TO OPERATION RIDE HOME

During the holiday season, Wirtz Beverage Group maintains focus on its tenet of leading in its community and industry by advancing social, political and community responsibilities.
One of the efforts it is supporting is Jack Daniel’s Operation Ride Home. Started in 2011, Operation Ride Home enables troops to travel home for the holidays.
"There are so many enlisted soldiers with families who would love to go to their homes for the holidays, but just don't have the means to do it," said Jack Daniel's Master Distiller Jeff Arnett in a press release. "These heroes have been serving our country on multiple deployments overseas and we just want to do what we can to help reunite them with their families during this special season. After all, it's not what is under the Christmas tree, but who is around it."
During the month of November, Wirtz Beverage Group raised $30,000 for the charity through events and raffles in its Illinois, Minnesota, Nevada and Wisconsin markets.
The Illinois Alliance team put its sales directors and vice president to work as guest bartenders and also conducted raffles to raise $8,000; the Nevada team raised $3,000 by holding a raffle, complete with a guitar autographed by KISS; the Minnesota staff fundraised $1,000 with a Wine Sale; and the Wisconsin team raised $3,000 with a Guest Bartending Night.
In addition, the Illinois team was awarded $15,000 to donate to a charity of its choice for winning Brown-Forman Distributor of the Year, and donated to Operation Ride Home.
