Breakthru Beverage Virginia Teams with Chesapeake Bay Wine Classic Foundation to Battle Breast Cancer
Sep. 1, 2017
For the 15th year in a row, the Chesapeake Bay Wine Classic Foundation reeled in support from the Commonwealth of Virginia to fight breast cancer.
Their fundraising event, “Wine, Women and Fishing,” is a yearly celebration that, in its history, has raised more than $500,000 for the Eastern Virginia Medical School, a nonprofit medical group with a focus on breast cancer research.
This year, Breakthru Beverage Virginia, with the support of Brown-Forman, was a proud sponsor of “Wine, Women and Fishing,” serving a variety of the supplier’s top sellers for consumers to taste, including Finlandia and Old Forester.
“We at Breakthru Beverage Virginia are very passionate about supporting key organizations in our community, and the life-saving work of the Eastern Virginia Medical School is a mission we’re very proud to support,” said Dale Farino, Breakthru Virginia President. “We’d like to thank the Chesapeake Bay Wine Classic Foundation for having us as a partner for another successful edition of ‘Wine, Women and Fishing.’”
