There was no need for magical charms or intervention from tiny mythological creatures on behalf of Tullamore D.E.W. at the International Wine & Spirits Competition this year, as Tully’s beloved 18 Year Old Single Malt won the Worldwide Whiskey Trophy, making them the first whiskey from the Emerald Isle to take the top honor since 2009.

For nearly 50 years, the annual IWSC has been judging wine and spirits based not just on organoleptic judgement but where all entries also had to undergo chemical analysis. Tullamore D.E.W.
