There’s a lot of reasons to #LoveTitos Handmade Vodka. Consumers love the unique flavor, the fact that it’s gluten-free, and the brand’s
accessibility on social media, just to name a few. Tito’s is also well known for the brand’s tireless and generous work on behalf of community organizations, a value which
Breakthru Beverage also holds dear . Day in and day out, Tito’s is committed to helping rescue dogs through the
“Vodka for Dog People” program, and the company has recently been in the news for work supporting their two-legged friends as well.
Supporting the Fight Against HIV/AIDS
Tito’s has partnered with the
San Francisco AIDS Foundation, committing to support a slate of events throughout 2018 and matching $20,000 of donations to fund the organization’s free HIV prevention, care and support services, according to a release from the foundation. These programs serve upward of 25,000 people annually. Tito’s has agreed to sponsor the foundation’s
Dining Out For Life event and to serve as a presenting partner for the
Santa Skivvies Run in December. Tito’s will also be an official sponsor of the
First City Club salons, quarterly forums with donors where the foundation highlights its impact in the community.
“Tito’s Handmade Vodka and San Francisco AIDS Foundation have worked together for a number of years to serve our communities.” said Christopher Berini, director of development at San Francisco AIDS Foundation. “When you work with such a dedicated partner, it seems natural to find new, organic ways to collaborate and drive impact for the community. Tito’s creativity and enthusiasm for partnership have been invaluable, and demonstrate their clear commitment to ending AIDS and to supporting those most affected by HIV.”
“San Francisco AIDS Foundation fights every day to end AIDS, advocating for some of the city’s most marginalized and vulnerable people,” said Amy Lukken from Tito’s Handmade Vodka. “The foundation’s events are inclusive, impactful, and vital in supporting the mission to end HIV. We are proud to stand beside San Francisco AIDS Foundation and support the incredible work they do.”
Protecting Families of First Responders
On the other side of the country, Tito’s made news with a $10,000 donation to the
200 Club of Atlantic and Cape May Counties, a support organization dedicated to providing for the families of first responders killed in the line of duty. The organization’s goal is to provide financial support to the survivors of fallen responders within 24 hours, as well as scholarships and other awards throughout the year.
The funds for this donation were raised in conjunction with the Tropicana casino in Atlantic City, with Tito’s donating $1 for every Tito’s drink sold on Thursday, according to
Southern New Jersey Today. Tropicana’s general manager, Steve Callendar, told the site, "these people are putting their lives on the line … we see that and we want to recognize them and let them know that we appreciate them."
Ellen Loughney, vice president of the 200 Club of Atlantic and Cape May Counties, also told Southern New Jersey Today, "a family that sacrifices someone in the line of duty should never have to worry about where the money's coming from so that family can have a funeral."
