‘Shaping the Future’ with Moët Hennessy

As part of Breakthru’s ongoing partnership with Moët Hennessy USA, we were thrilled to attend Moët Hennessy’s 2018 Distributor Conference in Brooklyn last week.

After a warm welcome from Jim Clerkin, President and CEO of Moët Hennessy North America, the conference was packed with exciting presentations from MHUSA’s world-class brand teams who shared ideas, initiatives and plans to continue to engage with an increasingly dynamic, diverse consumer audience.

Each brand team shared highlights from 2018 — from Belvedere’s successful partnership with actress-musician Janelle Monáe to Veuve Clicquot’s celebration of the 200th anniversary of Clicquot Rosé — all while looking ahead to 2019 plans for success.

The Hennessy team’s presentation included an appearance from an incredibly special guest — world champion Canelo Álvarez, who will continue his partnership with the brand in 2019 and is the embodiment of Hennessy’s “Never stop. Never settle.” mantra.

The conference also featured the Future Solutions Trade Show, which included brand tastings and other activations such as first views of promo packs, limited edition releases and other exclusive gift ideas from MHUSA’s exceptional spirits, Champagne and wine brands.

Breakthru President and CEO Greg Baird, Co-Chairman Charles Merinoff and Vice-Chairman Danny Wirtz were all in attendance, in addition to other Breakthru leadership. Merinoff spoke at the end of the day with a message about Breakthru’s ongoing commitment to bringing MHUSA’s brand stories to life in the coming year and beyond.

“Once again, MHUSA delivered an engaging, informative and productive conference for our leadership teams,” said Wirtz after the conference. “Their commitment to brand activation, education and the burgeoning e-retail space continues to challenge us to shape the future with them as partners.”
