Whiskey and Korbel: A Sparkling Cocktail Combination

Korbel California Champagne can stand on its own or it can add complexity and character to a cocktail. A leader in California’s Methode Champenoise sparkling segment, Korbel has already established itself as a brunch staple with consumers, both at home as well as behind the bar where it is the go-to companion for orange juice in a mimosa. And while there is nothing wrong with the classic mimosa, Korbel’s potential to elevate cocktails goes far beyond that one drink. In fact, its spritzy effervesce does wonders to whiskey, transforming it into a warm weather patio pleaser.

Lighten up your brunch program by adding a few of these Korbel and whiskey cocktails to your drinks menu.

Ingredients
1 oz Old Forester® Bourbon
0.5 oz Grapefruit Juice
0.5 oz Ginger Syrup
Top with Korbel® Brut
Lemon Peel or Grapefruit Peel (Garnish)

Method
Shake first 3 ingredients with ice. Double strain into flute or champagne coupe. Top with Korbel Brut. Garnish with lemon or grapefruit peel.

Ingredients
1.5 oz Old Forester® Bourbon
0.75 oz Blood Orange Juice
0.25 oz Pineapple Juice
3.5 oz Korbel® Brut Rose
Blood Orange Peel (Garnish)

Method
Combine all ingredients in flute, garnish with blood orange peel.

Korbel® Sparkling Resolution

Ingredients
4 oz Korbel® Brut
1 oz Woodford Reserve® Bourbon
2 oz Blueberry Juice

Method
Pour Woodford Reserve® and blueberry juice into a shaker with ice.
Shake and strain into a martini glass. Top with Korbel®.

Garnish
Frozen Blueberries
