Meet the New Jack Daniel’s Motorcycle

Mar. 20, 2019

It is an indisputable fact that motorcycles are cool. Indian Motorcycles are not only cool, they are iconic, just like Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, and for the past four years the venerated cycle producer has put out limited edition bikes inspired by Jack Daniel’s. These bikes, often in the $30,000 to $40,000 range, have been known to sell out in a matter of minutes upon release and generate significant buzz amongst motorcycle enthusiasts in the past. This month, the newest collaboration between Indian and Jack Daniel’s will finally be released: the 2019 Jack Daniel's Limited Edition Indian Springfield Dark Horse.

Born to Be Wild

This year’s very special “LTO” is inspired by Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Select, the Brown-Forman brand's finely crafted super-premium whiskey expression. According to Brown-Forman, Jack Daniel's Single Barrel is produced in only the top floors of the barrelhouses at the Jack Daniel’s Distillery where the natural annual temperatures vary the greatest year after year, thus developing the most robust flavor possible. The oaken barrels are produced by Jack Daniel’s own skilled craftspeople from special wood that gives Single Barrel Select its distinctive flavor and color.

The thought and care that creates Single Barrel Select is also reflected in the painstaking work that goes into the production of each limited-edition Jack Daniel's Indian Springfield Dark Horse. These bikes are unique, original works of art, as nearly the entire bike is hand-painted by specialized Indian Motorcycle craftspeople. This year’s edition will feature a two-tone Heavy Metal Crystal & Thunder Black Vivid Crystal paint scheme alongside Steel Gray graphics and a wood grain finish inspired by and paying tribute to the oak that makes Single Barrel Select so special.

Get Your Motor Runnin’

Our gearhead friends will be excited to learn that the 2019 Jack Daniel's Limited Edition Indian Springfield Dark Horse will be powered by Indian Motorcycle's first ever straight-from-the-factory 116 cubic-inch Thunder Stroke engine, newly redesigned slammed saddlebags, 12'' mid-rise ape-hanger handlebars, and custom precision machined wheels. Indian is including extra touches like a quick release tinted flare windscreen, end-to-end LED lighting, and gloss black finishes throughout the bike, making the bike as “super-premium” as its namesake.

The bike will also feature Jack Daniel’s branding throughout, such as Jack Daniel's Single Barrel badging and a ''Bottles and Throttles Don’t Mix'' badge on the front fender. The iconic Jack Daniel’s logo will appear on the leather seat and tank strap bearing, and “Single Barrel Select” will be engraved on the floorboards. Lastly, each bike will be assigned a unique serial number, from 001-177, engraved on a one-of-a-kind Montana Silversmith badge.

For those customers lucky enough to purchase one of these bikes, Indian and Brown-Forman will throw in a special gift—a commemorative wooden Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel bottle decanter, made from the exact same oak barrels used to age Single Barrel Select. Along with the holder comes two custom branded rocks glasses and place to hold a bottle of Jack Daniel's Single Barrel. According to Indian, each of these gifts will be engraved with the owner’s name, motorcycle number (#001-#177) and VIN.
