They eat, they drink, they watch football
Sep. 22, 2016
Summer is coming to a close, which means temperatures are starting to cool off, schools are starting back and leaves are starting to change. But more importantly, it means the return of football.
According to Mintel, 50% of Americans are fans of professional football and 35% put college football at the top of their lists. So whether it’s from a stadium, a tailgating lot, a bar, or the comfort of one’s own home, it’s safe to say there will be a lot of eyes on football this season.
What does this mean for the alcohol beverage industry? According to Mintel, 63% of sports fans age 21 and older report consuming alcoholic beverages while watching sports.
