Breakthru IL Proud to be Official Sponsor of MOW Chicago’s 30th Anniversary

Breakthru Beverage Illinois is proud to be the official sponsor of Meals on Wheels (MOW) Chicago’s 30th anniversary. This is especially meaningful as Breakthru IL and MOW Chicago have partnered together for nearly 10 years.
“We are truly honored to have Breakthru IL as our official sponsor,” MOW Chicago Executive Director David Tabak said. “Breakthru truly represents the best in corporate citizenship and we are excited to expand our partnership with them.”
MOW works to ensure that both homebound seniors and individuals with disabilities benefit from programs that improve quality of life and maximize independence. Partnering with MOW Chicago directly aligns with Breakthru’s mission to give back to its communities.
“Meals on Wheels is an inspiring organization helping people across Chicago every day,” said Hillary Wirtz, Breakthru IL on-premise business manager. “It’s very meaningful for Breakthru to be involved with a group so dedicated to bettering the lives of others.”
Historically, Breakthru has sponsored several of MOW Chicago’s annual events including the Celebrity Chef Ball, Nourish, which brings together acclaimed chefs, culinary enthusiasts and corporate partners for a celebration of food and philanthropy. Breakthru IL also hosts quarterly food drives to help collect food for MOW’s programs.
Most recently, Breakthru IL partnered with MOW Chicago to present Chicago on Tap at the historic landmark Thalia Hall. With more than 225 people in attendance, guests had the chance to sample craft beers from 20+ breweries, snack on beer-inspired menu items and dance the night away with live music by The Leadfoot Band.
“Chicago on Tap 2017 was a huge success for Meals on Wheels Chicago,” Tabak said. “This year we raised more than $50,000 to further our mission of eliminating hunger and isolation for Chicago’s seniors and individuals with disabilities.”
