Mason Cellars 2014 Sauvignon Blanc earned a 90 rating from the critics at Wine Spectator (November 2015) and earned a spot on their list of the Top 100 Wines of 2015. Wine Spectator called the vintage “clean, smooth and crisp,” and that it offered “a lip-smacking mix of pear, melon and key lime flavors, with plenty of intensity on the finish.”
Napa Cellars 2014 Merlot was recently named a Top Value distinction from WIne Spectator (November 2017), who called this Merlot “Well–framed, with light smoky notes accenting the dried plum and cherry flavors. Savory accents fill the fresh, minerally finish.”
Taken 2013 Red Wine took a 90 rating from Wine Enthusiast (June 2016), as well as a 92 rating from James Suckling, who called it “a big and juicy style of Napa red for those who love the 1990s genre. Yet there's a form and tension to the wine with chewy tannins that make it very drinkable and intriguing.” Wine Spectator also weighed in with a 90 rating, saying it “strikes a balance between dark fruit, licorice, dark plum and enticing mocha-laced oak flavors. Clean and pure throughout, ending with tannins that provide good grip.”
Terra d'Oro 2015 Zinfandel won a 91 rating and “Editor’s Choice” distinction from Jim Gordon at Wine Enthusiast (Nov 2017), who called it a “terrific wine” and said it “has vibrant fruit flavors and feelings of focus and energy on the palate. Firm acidity and fine-grained tannins add structure and lend support to the spicy oak and ripe cherry and blackberry nuances that start in the aroma and carry through the taste and finish.” This is the fourth consecutive vintage Terra d’Oro to earn a 90+ rating.
