Breakthru Delaware and the Norman Oliver Turkey Drive deliver turkeys and holiday joy

Part of what makes the holiday season so wonderful is the traditions that we return to year after year. One of the favorites here at Breakthru Beverage Delaware is Norman Oliver’s Turkey Drive, which provides holiday cheer and meals to more than 3,000 Delaware families each year.

For 34 years, associates from Breakthru Delaware have worked with Norman Oliver and his charity, which Oliver started while still a college freshman, to raise funds to purchase birds and deliver them throughout the state. This year, Breakthru Beverage Delaware donated and delivered 60 turkeys to help the cause. The cause was also supported this year by notable Delaware volunteers such as U.S. Rep. and Governor-elect John Carney, Congresswoman-elect Lisa Blunt Rochester, Lieutenant Governor-elect Bethany Hall-Long, Delaware 87ers Basketball Head Coach Eugene Burroughs and many of his players.

Our thanks go out to Norman Oliver’s NOR Enterprises for continuing this wonderful holiday tradition, to our associates for their support, and to the rest of the volunteers who worked to help make this year special.
