Tito’s Handmade Vodka has made a name for itself as the “vodka for people who love dogs,” and that extends to the dogs who work with Delaware police departments to protect and serve the state’s humans. At this year’s annual Battle of the Bars, hosted by the K-9 Fund, Breakthru Beverage and Tito’s Handmade Vodka helped to raise $12,700 to support our four-legged guardians, contributing to the more than $150,000 the fund has raised in its first 12 years. Breakthru sponsored the event this year, in conjunction with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, and welcomed some of the state’s best and brightest bartenders for an epic showdown of vodka cocktails and good-natured rivalry.

This year’s event featured eight incredible teams from Arenas, Deerpark, Grain on Main, Green Turtle, Grottos, Klondike Kate’s, Stone Baloon and Timothy’s of Newark all competing for the coveted Paco Cup and bragging rights for the next year. Each team fielded a bevy of specialty cocktails, featuring Tito’s Handmade Vodka, with all sales going to the team’s total dollar amount for the competition. The team from Timothy’s of Newark took home the Paco Cup this year with their “Thin Blue Line” cocktail. Deerpark also took home honors for Best Tasting and Most Creative with their Strawberry Lemonade, featuring fresh strawberries.
