Last month, Wirtz Beverage Minnesota, along with Heineken U.S.A. and NewCastle, unveiled the new BrewLock system to the Minnesota market. Highlighted by being able to deliver a nearly 100% yield and a fully recyclable package, BrewLock is a revolutionary new way for bars to buy, store and pour beer.

While standard keg systems use expensive gas and regulator systems to pull beer to the tap, the BrewLock system relies on surrounding air to squeeze the inner wall and push beer through to the faucet. Neither air nor compressed gases touch the beer, so consumers receive a fresher tasting, perfectly carbonated beer just as the brewmaster intended.

BrewLock system - how does it work

For bar and restaurant owners, the 100% yield means that they'll have less waste and can sell the entire amount of purchased beer, right down to the final drop. The BrewLock also eliminates nearly 50% of all draught system failures and is easy to install, operate and maintain.

The BrewLock has a much smaller footprint and is 25% lighter than a traditional steel keg, meaning it takes up less space in beer coolers and can quickly be moved between front and back of the house. The tanks are also 100% recyclable as well.
