Breakthru Wisconsin Liberates Prisoner Wine Company

As part of our ongoing mission to be the leading beverage company in North America, Breakthru Beverage is constantly searching for new partnerships with brands that will enhance our own. To that end, Breakthru Beverage Wisconsin is thrilled to announce the addition of the Prisoner Wine Company to our portfolio of fine wines in the state. Breakthru Wisconsin is now officially the exclusive, statewide distributor for all five of The Prisoner’s brands, including the wildly popular flagship blend: The Prisoner.
Mitch Frank of winespectator.com calls The Prisoner “a modern-day wine success story,” describing the blend as “a contemporary version of the California field blend—Zinfandel with portions of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Petite Sirah and Charbono.” Frank also points out that The Prisoner is a favorite at Wine Spectator, appearing multiple times on the magazine’s Top 100 list. Other brands in the portfolio include Blindfold, their Chardonnay, Cuttings, a Cabernet Sauvignon, the Zinfandel Saldo and Thorn, their Merlot.
Breakthru Beverage Wisconsin’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Nate Phippen, praised the acquisition, saying “our commitment to build the premier fine wine portfolio in the state has never been stronger.”
