Death’s Door Spirits Black Earth Bourbon Whiskey
Named for the Black Earth Creek Watershed in Wisconsin, one of the most pristine creek environments in the U.S. Aged for two years in new charred white oak barrels, it’s mash bill is 70 percent corn, 25 percent rye, and 5 percent malted barley. Aromas of toasted rye bread and graham cracker move to salted caramel, vanilla, and cherry blossom. The taste is light pepper spice and heat that leads to hints of marmalade. Finish is a nimble balance of sweetness and lingering toffee, oak, and black pepper spice.
