This summer brought the 10th anniversary of the Luke Homan Memorial Golf Classic fundraiser in Wisconsin. The annual fundraiser teed off at The Legend at Brandybrook in Wales, Wisconsin, in honor of Luke Homan, who died in 2006 at the age of 21. Luke was the only son of Jerry Homan and Patti Homan, the latter being a former Breakthru Beverage District Manager.

Breakthru Beverage Wisconsin is honored to be a partner, with the Homans, in sponsoring this annual event to help benefit charities in Luke’s name. The event carries on Luke’s spirit of generosity, like the work he did coaching youth sports to assisting in his favorite charity, the Special Olympics. This year’s event, including a full day of golf, as well as live and silent auctions, raised over $92,000. In the last decade, the Homans have raised over $750,000, and Breakthru Beverage has been proud to be a partner in this work from day one. The Homans are donating part of the proceeds to some of Breakthru Beverage Wisconsin’s partner charities, including the Semper Fi Fund, Hartland Foodbank, Chicago Blackhawks Charities and Cystic Fibrosis research.

We continue to be amazed at the generosity that Luke’s memory brings out of people, and at the indefatigable work of his parents to build his legacy. To find out more about how you can get involved, visit the Luke Homan Memorial Golf Classic online.
