Terlato is Turning Up in New Videos

Standing out in the world of wine is no mean feat, but Terlato has just commissioned two new ad campaigns that will help put two of their favorite brands front and center with the consumers who matter the most. In conjunction with a Chicago advertising agency, Schafer Condon Carter (SCC), Terlato is releasing two promotional video series in support of two of the company’s favorite brands, The Federalist and Seven Daughters. 

First, The Federalist is being repositioned among beer, bourbon and whiskey consumers as being “American Craft Wine,” in a category all its own and as exceptional as America itself, according to a spokesperson from SCC. The campaign hopes to draw parallels between The Federalist and the perennial “craft” aesthetic that has caught on so well with consumers in the last ten years.

Consumers who gravitate towards small-batch whiskey, microbrews and other craft beverages may be inclined to enter the world of wine through a brand, like The Federalist, that reflects their own pre-existing preferences.

Second, the company is promoting Seven Daughters through an extended series of videos under the “Unscrew It” banner. This campaign plays to the foibles of modern life through the lens of younger women, one of the most important demographics for wine today. According to the agency, the ads create relatable moments, easily identifiable to millennial women, which are then tied to the Seven Daughters brand and its characteristic screw top. The concept's tagline suggests when a situation’s screwed up, the consumer "can ‘unscrew it’ with Seven Daughters."

These ads are part of a larger strategy, including Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram, and reflect a hope on the part of Terlato that consumers will engage with the #unscrewit hashtag and turn it into a trending hashtag.
