Tom Bené Officially Begins Tenure as Breakthru Beverage Group President and CEO

Today, we embark on the next chapter of Breakthru Beverage Group with the beginning of the Tom Bené era, and we couldn’t be more excited to have him lead our organization into the future as our President and CEO. Bené brings a wealth of leadership experience to us, with a proven track record of driving growth and modernizing business models.

A message from Breakthru Beverage Group President and CEO Tom Bené

As I officially assume the role of President and CEO today, I want to share my excitement in joining this incredible organization. Breakthru’s reputation is strong with a great foundation rooted in integrity; a talented and experienced leadership team; and backing from a strong multi-generational family ownership group that remains deeply invested in the future of this business.  

As you know, Breakthru is one of the industry’s top performing distributors in the markets we operate, and suppliers and customers choice for best-in-class partnership.  It was clear to me from the very beginning that the organization’s focused long-term strategy will both bolster these relationships and strengthen our position in the industry. I look forward to working collaboratively with our leaders and associates to build on the strong foundation by investing in innovation, expanding our digital capabilities, and forging new relationships that position us for sustained strong performance.

I will also carry forward and cultivate a culture that values every associate for who they are and what they contribute to the business. I’m committed to fostering an environment that embraces diversity, equity and inclusion and allows each associate to bring their unique authentic self to work each day.

In the coming months, I look forward to getting to know each of our teams, while engaging with our associates at every opportunity I get.

Finally, I am grateful to Greg Baird who has built this amazing foundation that I am inheriting. He has been a great resource to me, with his support and friendship throughout the process. I look forward to leveraging my past experiences and insights to ensure we continue to build on the tremendous momentum that exists today and work together to build an even stronger Breakthru in the years ahead.
