OND is a hectic, busy time for any business, and Breakthru Delaware is no exception. Even with the end-of-year rush, however, the team still found time to raise over $2,200 in cash and in-kind donations for local charities. This year, like every year, Breakthru Delaware partners with worthy causes in the local and state community to help these charities’ vital missions. Working with an array of organizations as diverse as a good sales portfolio, the Delaware crew has a decades-long history giving, dating back to two of the founding companies that would eventually become Breakthru Delaware.

For 30 years, the team has supported NOR Enterprises’ annual Turkey Drive. The food drive provides Thanksgiving meals to needy senior citizens in 13 assisted living centers operated by the City of Wilmington along with 6 Boys and Girls clubs in Delaware. Each October, Breakthru Delaware hosts an internal bake sale for the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, most recently raising nearly $900. December also brings Casual Day for a Cause, benefitting a different worthy charity each year. This year, associates paid $5 for an extra casual day, raising $180 for Friendship House to support their mission of feeding, sheltering, rehabilitating and providing winter sanctuary for area homeless. December also means a partnership with the Ronald McDonald House, gathering new toys and household items for children and families going through medical treatment.

These are just a sample of the more than 250 organizations Breakthru Delaware donates to each year, including two annual golf tournaments to benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs in Delaware, sponsorships and annual donations to groups like animal society Faithful Friends, The Food Bank of Delaware and all local police and fire departments. At Breakthru Delaware, OND giving is just the beginning.
