Building was the theme August 18 when more than 100 Breakthru Beverage Colorado associates came together to raise money for a local charity. From building bikes, to building team morale, it was all hands on deck as associates participated in friendly competition for a good cause.

Associates were divided into 12 teams, each competing for $1500 for their local charity of choice. Charities ranged from the Food Bank of the Rockies to The Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center.

The day began with several fun competitions – such as building the tallest balloon tower – to win bicycle parts and team points. Teams then worked to build bicycles for twelve students from Monaco Elementary School located in Commerce City, CO.

Breakthru teams presented the bikes to the group of six- to eight-year-old students, who were excited to take home their new wheels.

Team “Training Wheels” racked up the most points throughout the day’s activities, enabling them to donate a $1500 check to Children’s Hospital Colorado.

It was a great day filled with comradery and hard work centered around Breakthru’s philanthropic mission to give back to the communities in which we serve.  Thank you to all who participated!
