What to Serve and Sell this Fall — Expert Advice from Wirtz Beverage Specialists
Nov. 3, 2014
With the holiday season fast approaching, we've asked our in-house experts for some guidance on what to offer customers this Fall.

"As the temperature drops, drinks that warm up the spirit are in need. Nothing does the trick quite like aged whiskeys. Bourbon and Rye have great spice note from the barrel ageing process. A quintessential Fall/Winter go to cocktail is the Manhattan. The beauty of the Manhattan is that it uses few ingredients but produces great complexity. A good whiskey paired with Carpano Antica sweet vermouth will bring out hints of baked oranges, cherries and a touch of vanilla and caramel. The bitters round out the cocktail by restraining the sugars in the Carpano Antica sweet vermouth. I offer up a classic Manhattan Cocktail recipe and a couple other classic variations for you to try - if you are feeling adventurous."
