The Arthur M. Wirtz Leadership Award honors and recognizes outstanding leadership, Ways of Working and performance. The award sets a standard of excellence, highlighting extraordinary achievement and dedication to the company.

Given the strong operations and sales turnaround in the challenging market of Minnesota, the Executive Leadership Team decided to award two recipients this year to honor their exceptional efforts and leadership. Congratulations to Lorne Barre and Anthony Simone!

Lorne Barre

Lorne Barre’s keen knowledge of the marketplace and drive for accountability and teamwork have been critical to his success as Director of Sales, Spirits, for Wirtz Beverage Minnesota. A remarkable leader, he is always looking for solutions and empowering his teams to perform at the highest level. Barre is passionate about winning and succeeding together, despite a market with diverse and aggressive competitors. Barre is the Wirtz for Warriors lead in Minnesota and a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. His dedication, sound decision-making and inspirational management are qualities that will continue to move Wirtz Beverage forward.

Anthony Simone

Anthony Simone is a problem solver as Regional Director of Delivery for Wirtz Beverage Illinois and Wirtz Beverage Minnesota. Instead of just hoping nothing goes wrong, Simone is ready for the unexpected by planning and thinking ahead. He is known among his teams for developing solutions to complex logistical challenges, while motivating colleagues to do the same. Simone is incredibly adaptable, always looking for new approaches and staying on top of changing trends and marketplace opportunities. He is equally focused on meeting both customer and supplier needs. A 14-year veteran of Wirtz Beverage, Simone’s ability to motivate others and his passion for success define leadership at Wirtz Beverage.
