Breakthru PA's Pittsburgh Portfolio Tasting Sets the Bar High

May 10, 2016

On Monday, April 11, Breakthru Beverage Pennsylvania held its annual Portfolio Tasting at the Westin Convention Center in Downtown Pittsburgh, PA.

This was the first time BBPA held its portfolio tasting since rebranding as Breakthru Beverage, and the new company’s branding was front and center, from the check-in table throughout the hall. The Spear also guided the event’s 177 guests to the welcome area where a cocktail provided by Stoli and Barefoot Wines awaited them.

In total, 41 wine and spirit suppliers participated in the tasting. Many of the supplier tables were staffed by BBPA’s in-house team, One on One Promotions. Sixteen of the spirit tables featured a signature cocktail, which was also promoted in an accordion booklet of cocktails that attendees received at check-in.

On the wine side, rosé and spring wine varietals were on display in the Seasonal Sips Lounge, where Notorious Pink, Sofia Blanc de Blac, Korbel Sweet Rose and Sonoma-Cutrer Chardonnay were paired with a selection of cheese and charcuterie.

From the selection of beverages and food available for tasting, to the venue and branding, attendees walked away impressed and engaged with BBPA’s offerings.

“The BBG Pittsburgh Portfolio Tasting event at the Westin was a success,” said Clayton Leslie, BBPA Pittsburg division manager. “The event was well coordinated and executed by the One on One Promotion team.  Our suppliers liked the newly renovated venue, with plenty of room for them to interact comfortably with our customers.  The food was delicious and there was plenty available for the duration of the event.”

Thank you to everyone involved with this year’s Portfolio Tasting, especially our supplier partners and the One on One Promotion team.
