Holiday traditions are important to us at Breakthru, particularly those which allow us to offer our strength to organizations working to improve the lives of people in our communities. One tradition near and dear to our team in Delaware is our annual drive to collect items for the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware.
This year, team members throughout the state contributed household items and toys, ultimately bringing in over 350 individual items. Media and Marketing Coordinator Liz Lutz talked about the importance of this drive for the Delaware team, saying, “We do this every year for the Ronald McDonald House and our associates are always enthusiastic about it.”
These toys and goods will go to support the charity’s ongoing mission to provide emotional and physical assistance to the families of children undergoing medical treatments in Delaware hospitals. In particular, these gifts helped to provide some much-needed cheer during the holiday season.
