Labor Day weekend this year is more than a celebration of summer and the indomitable spirit of America’s workers, because this year marks the 115th anniversary of the founding of Harley-Davidson, America’s iconic motorcycle company. And this year, Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum is getting in on the celebration, held in Milwaukee from Aug. 29 to Sep. 2. The five-day celebration of all things Harley is expected to draw thousands of fans from around the country, providing a perfect opportunity for brands, like Sailor Jerry, to engage with a wide range of drinking-age consumers.
This year, Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum will have an extensive presence at the festivities, including an “exclusive mobile museum featuring the outside-the-lines work of biker and tattoo artist Norman ‘Sailor Jerry’ Collins, the American-made rum's namesake,” according to a statement from the company. In addition to the artwork, Sailor Jerry is also bringing Spike TV's Ink Master star Oliver Peck, who will be onsite during the festival, giving away a limited number of free Sailor Jerry flash art tattoos. In addition, the festival will also feature select bikes from the Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum and Harley-Davidson's joint "My Work Speaks for Itself" design contest, and select on-premise accounts in the area will be serving Sailor Jerry cocktails throughout the event.
