Food Fight! Woodford Reserve Pairs with Fine Living Lancaster in Food Fundraiser for Women and Children in Need

Jun. 9, 2017

When a woman is left without a place to live, The Clare House leaves the door open.

According to The Clare House – a transitional home for women and children – they receive calls from women every day “who find themselves homeless as a result of abusive relationships, addiction, loss of employment, or simply slipping through ‘the system.’”

“They need someone who understands and is willing to give them a hand,” said Evalina Dombrowski, Executive Director of The Clare House, which was founded in 1980.

The Clare House’s mission is one that Woodford Reserve deeply supports. The Brown-Forman brand partnered with Fine Living Lancaster to serve up a benefit that helped raise money for the home, and the fundraiser had a catchy title.

Food Fight!

The aptly named culinary competition showcased the pair-ability of Woodford Reserve Distiller’s Select with some of Pennsylvania’s top restaurants, with proceeds going towards The Clare House.

“We’re thrilled with the strong consumer turnout for the Food Fight,” said Kelly Hutchison, Breakthru Pennsylvania Field Sales Manager. “We’re proud that so many people share our passion of supporting amazing organizations such as The Clare House.”
