We love the spirits produced by our friends and partners at William Grant & Sons, and we’re not alone—they were just named Distiller of the Year and Scotch Whisky Producer of the Year at the 2018 International Wine & Spirits Competition (IWSC).
Widely seen as setting the international benchmark for quality, the IWSC is now in its 49th year and has grown into a major worldwide event in the industry. More than 400 global experts come together each year to judge entries from nearly 90 nations over a rigorous, seven-month period. And at the end of it all, William Grant & Sons came out on top this year. In previous years, the company notched wins as Scotch Whisky Producer of the Year (2016), Distiller of the Year (2016 & 2013) and International Spirits Producer of the Year (2014 & 2013).
In addition to this year’s big wins, William Grant & Sons took home more than 70 other medals for individual spirits from its portfolio this year, including previous awards for Glenfiddich Finest Solera, The Balvenie Thirty, and Tullamore D.E.W. 18 Year Old.
