Breakthru is excited to congratulate COO Lloyd Sobel on recently being appointed to the Women of the Vine & Spirits USA Advisory Board. In this role, Sobel will contribute his experience and perspective to the organization’s efforts to advance opportunities for women in our industry.

“I am proud to support Women of the Vine & Spirits,” said Sobel. “In diversity there is strength, and this organization has been key to ensuring that our industry is leveraging a broader spectrum of experiences and perspective.  I am honored to play a role in helping to change the face of this industry through greater opportunity and recognition of the contributions from women.”

Established in 2015, Women of the Vine & Spirits is guided by both a U.S. and European Advisory Board and is led by Founder and President Deborah Brenner. Composed of experts from every tier of the industry as well as those closely connected through media and consulting, the advisory board works to collectively advocate for industry support of gender-diverse teams and talent development.

“Our mission to advance and support the careers of women in the alcohol beverage industry continues, and we welcome Lloyd, his expertise and commitment to our organization,” said Brenner. “Looking ahead, we will continue to provide a forum for women in every spectrum of this industry to learn, grow and strengthen their careers through networking, educational events and of course, the Annual Women of the Vine & Spirits Global Symposium. I look forward to working with Lloyd as a partner and working with Breakthru towards our shared mission.”

“Breakthru is fortunate to have women working in all aspects of our business at all levels, and we will continue to make efforts to foster career development and mentorship opportunities for Breakthru women,” Sobel said.
