Crown Royal Shows Love for Black Colleges and Universities

This fall, along with gridirons and tailgating, Crown Royal is coming to historically black colleges and universities across the country. The HBCU Love Tour, sponsored by Crown Royal whisky, is bringing the world’s best-selling Canadian whisky to consumers throughout the nation while supporting the National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame Foundation and its ongoing mission to preserve and highlight the accomplishments of historically black colleges and universities.

The tour made its first stop, the Cotton Bowl State Fair Classic in Dallas, at the end of September. The event was an opportunity for brand ambassadors to engage with attendees, of legal drinking age, encouraging them to show the foundation some love on its Facebook page and to enjoy the HBCU Love Lounge tailgating experience, courtesy of Urban One’s One Solution. The lounge included a live DJ, a heat press for creating custom hoodies, meet and greets with comedians Joe Torry and Reginald Ballard, and other activities throughout. Torry is, himself, a 2001 inductee into the National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame.

Crown Royal’s tour will also be highlighted on TV One, a subsidiary TV network of Radio One and iOne Digital, with live coverage available on iOne Digital's Global Grind "HBCU Love" landing page for consumers to follow and engage with if they can’t make it in person.
