Breakthru’s 2nd Annual Quality Cup Awards Highlight Key Operational Objectives

Now in its second year, Breakthru’s Operations team’s Quality Cup awards continued its focus on key operational objectives — quality, safety, customer service and productivity.
As Vice President Operations Excellence Mike Brown shared last year, “The Quality Cup is a great opportunity for Breakthru to celebrate success across all states. This friendly competition will only further our goal of operational excellence and continuous improvement across all aspects of our company.”
The Quality Cup was developed to focus on increasing customer service and productivity across the enterprise. Executive Vice President Art Wirtz, Vice President of Operations Tim Krull and Brown awarded top performing states in several categories.

- Safety: Lost time claims reduced 29%, from 80 to 57 claims
- Process Loss: Reduce $1.2M, from $6.2M to $5.0M
- Breakage: Reduced 22K cases
- Unsaleable: Reduced $400K
- Inventory Adjustments: Reduced $270K
- Returns: Reduced 12% (172K cases)
- Pick Omits: Reduced 35% (18K cases)
- Greenroads Driver Behavior: Improved score 14%
