Belching Beaver Joins Wirtz Beverage Nevada for State-wide Distribution

Breakthru Beverage is proud to announce the newest addition to its craft beer portfolio: Belching Beaver Brewery.

Tom Vogel, Belching Beaver’s CEO, Owner and General Manager, along With Dave Mobley and Master Brewer, Troy Smith launched the San Diego brewery in 2012 and have overseen its rapid growth. What began as an idea discussed over beers has quickly expanded into four unique properties, including the original brewery and a brewpub in Vista, CA, a tasting room in North Park, CA and most recently a 24,428 square foot production facility in Oceanside, CA. The new facility will grow Belching Beaver’s annual production of 10,000 barrels of beer to 40,000, with the ultimate goal of capping out at 60,000 barrels a year.

“We are so completely excited to partner up with a quality organization like Breakthru Beverage, It’s a real dream for us to be working with this amazing company,” said Vogel. “We are going to work as hard as we can to make the best beer possible and offer it throughout the Great State of Nevada!”

Belching Beaver is perhaps most noted for its sweet stouts, including the highly acclaimed Peanut Butter Milk Stout.

“Belching Beaver’s lineup of outstanding and unique beers like, Peanut Butter Milk Stout and Great Lei Pineapple Colada IPA, offer the Nevada consumer more variety and fun new expressions of classic beer styles,” said Michael Shetler, Craft Brand Specialist at Breakthru Beverage Nevada-Vegas. “I think it’s safe to say that the craft beer culture has spread to Nevada. Breakthru Beverage is proud to be part of that culture by partnering with great breweries like Belching Beaver.”

In addition to Peanut Butter Milk Stout, BreakthruBeverage will also be carrying Me So Honey Ale, Horchata Imperial Stout, Hop Hwy IPA, Dammed! Double IPA, Beaver’s Milk Milk Stout and Great Lei IPA.
